They have a good produce section and reasonable prices for a USVI grocer. This is also the place for the things you'll use constantly but don't need to be premium: cooking oil, coffee, eggs, bread, pasta, and bottled water.

Cost U Less

If your group is large or you're chartering for two weeks, Cost U Less is worth the trip. It's a warehouse-style store with bulk quantities and lower per-unit pricing on things like drinks, snacks, and paper goods.

For a standard week-long charter with four to six guests, it's probably more volume than you need. But if you're buying multiple cases of sparkling water or weeks worth of granola bars, this is where the math works in your favor.

What to Buy (and What Not To)

The Essentials

We recommend focusing on breakfast items first. Most guests cook aboard in the morning and eat out or eat light for other meals. Eggs, bread, fruit, yogurt, granola, and good coffee cover a lot of ground. Add a few simple dinner options for nights when you're anchored somewhere remote or the weather keeps you aboard.

Drinks deserve more attention than most people give them. You'll go through water faster than expected in the heat, and ice is a finite resource on most boats. Buy more water than you think you need.
